Lake Michigan Carferry
All aboard the Lake Michigan Carferry, which crosses Lake Michigan from Ludington to Manitowoc, Wisconsin from May through October. The 410’ SS Badger is the largest cross lake passenger service on the Great Lakes. The four hour, 60 mile cruise takes passengers and their vehicles across the lake in comfort. Lake Michigan Charter Fishing
Ludington is the #1 salmon port on Lake Michigan, with trout, steelhead and walleye also in abundance. Golf Courses
You’re never far from one of the beautiful golf courses in the area. Play nine or 18 holes through scenic woods and enjoy the wonderful views of Lake Michigan. Most courses offer driving ranges, putting greens and pro shops. For those who have taken up disc golf, Ludington offers five disc golf courses, at Mason County Park near the Pumped Storage Project, and Leviathan, off Jebavy Drive, just north of Johnson Road. Miniature golf courses can be found at Stearns Park Beach, sponsored by the Ludington Area Jaycees, and at AJ’s Family Fun Center on US-10. Whatever golf activity you choose, Ludington area courses offer great recreational opportunities while you’re vacationing in West Michigan.

Amber Elk Ranch
One of the newer attractions to the Ludington area is the Amber Elk Ranch, 130 acres of pastures just 4 miles from the hotel. The ranch offers wagon tours that will take you get you up close and personal with the mighty Elk. They also have pygmy goats and a unique gift shop. Historic White Pine Village
Discover a beautifully restored “community” set upon 23 acres overlooking Lake Michigan. You can experience first hand how life was in this area in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Big Sable Point Lighthouse
In 1867, the Big Sable Point Lighthouse was the first to be built in the area. It was run by a keeper until 1968 when the light was automated. You can make the 3.5 mile round trip walk out to the lighthouse across the beach at the Ludington State Park. Once you reach the lighthouse, step inside and climb the 130 steps to the top of the tower. Be sure to buy yourself a souvenir in the gift shop that was once the keeper’s living quarters.
North Breakwater Lighthouse
The North Breakwater Lighthouse is located at Stearns beach in beautiful downtown Ludington. Most likely you’ve seen it, as it is the most photographed lighthouse and best represents Ludington. It was built in 1924, was recently restored, and is now open for weekend tours. Its brilliant light flashes to warn boaters of the narrow channel, and shines up to 20 miles across the water.
Ludington State Park
Scenic and beautiful, Ludington's state park is one of the nicest in the nation and offers a variety of activities. Known as the “Queen of State Parks,” the Ludington State Park boasts miles of scenic walking trails, bike paths, beaches, sand dunes and more. You’ll also find picnic and camping access, boat and bike rentals, and much more. It’s a great place to spend the day with the family.
Sandy Korners Jeeps
At this one-of-a-kind attraction, you’ll be guided through the beautiful sand dunes of Silver Lake while driving your own jeep. They also offer Fulgurite Tours. For those of you who are vacationing here, a fulgurite is created when lightning strikes the sand. The heat from the lightning causes the sand to fuse together and create irregular, glass shaped structures. Mac Woods Dune Rides
For more than 70 years, Mac Woods has been pleasing people with their well trained, friendly, and informative staff. Their fun-filled tour lasts about 40 minutes and covers seven miles of the Silver Lake sand dunes. You will ride in a bus style jeep that will take you for a ride you will never forget.
